THE CLOUD OF UNKNOWING

Time to go jump in a puddle!

Winter's definitely descending upon us here in Venice but that's no threat to the devote art lover. We are still getting a steady stream of visitors - even on rainy days! The long Ascension Day weekend also saw a record number of visitors, only second to Opening Day early in the year.

As we approach another long weekend on the week starting the 21st, we brace ourselves for more record-setting days. Always great to meet new people from all over the world at our humble pavilion :)

In other news, we also brace ourselves for more 'acqua alta' as we go on our hunt for rain boots. I got lucky at lunch yesterday and found myself this nifty pair of boots at a good bargain (by Venice standards)!

Taking them out for a walk later, possibly in search of a puddle or two!

The weatherman says it's gonna pour but he doesn't scare me!
Not with these rain boots he won't!
